Thanks to both of their fairly outgoing personalities, they became quick friends over some jokes about hugging. She made him laugh, something Shinju needs to do more, but she's gone from the city.

His former neighbor, along with Suzaku. They hadn't spoken much, but Shinju was willing to call him a friend since Suzaku seemed so helpful. He decided to keep his distance until Lelouch fell into a coma and disappeared from the city.

Though Shinju was glad to call them friends, he still felt as if he didn't really know Suzaku. After he finally felt like he made some progress in their friendship, Suzaku disappeared. As Suzaku was the fifth friend of his to leave, it began to wear on him.

Shinju considered it an unlikely friendship, but wasn't unhappy about it. Badou seemed like someone he could trust, and he was glad about the respect he seemed to have for (non-physical) boundaries. Unfortunately, he's disappeared.

Through the fight against the snowmen and their conversations, Shinju's come to truly respect Ramza as a friend and someone he can trust. They've both been through hell and back, and Shinju intends to be as good a friend to him as he can.

He worried about the pilot after he learned more about her but tried to not fret over her. He just hoped she would come to him if it would help her, with deeper issues or just things like boredom. She was the second of his friends to disappear.

Although Shinju felt their initial friendship changed when Steve left and returned as a soldier, he feels they're starting to mend things now, even if the man knows more about his past than Shinju wants.

Pilouette makes Shinju feel comfortable. Her reactions to the supernatural make him think she comes from a normal life, and he envies that. He wants to be a good friend, but hopes that he can keep his own background from coming to light.

[AU] Akihiko Sanada
After he had a proper introduction to the boxer, he could safely say Akihiko was a likeable person, though not without his quirks. Though they were neighbors, he never got to know Akihiko well before he left.

Though he was a bit embarrassed how they first met, he was grateful for the fact that Junpei made an attempt to cheer him up. His casual, friendly demeanor made Shinju want to get to know him better, but he's left the city now.

[AU] Minako Arisato
After bonding about arriving in hot clothing, she, Shinju and Yu met and became good friends. Her cheer and energy reminded him of Katsura, which made him feel a little more at home, but her disappearance was jarring.

[AU] Shinjiro Aragaki
Though he tried to become friends with the young man, Shinju found it difficult to penetrate Shinjiro's quiet, indifferent exterior. Though he thought he was nice enough, he never got the opportunity to get past that.

[OU] Kanji Tatsumi
Though he was curious about the rough demeanor of the young man, he was confident that a friend of Yu would be a good person. Unfortunately, he left before Shinju could find out more.

[OU] Naoto Shirogane
Her observant nature unnerved him immediately. Though she seemed a good person, he wondered if she didn't intend to use truth serum on him. Though he knows it's insensitive of him, he was relieved when she disappeared.

[AU] Yu Narukami
He trusted Yu with his life. His normal appearance and calm demeanor made Shinju feel comfortable, even after learning of his Persona. As much as it hurt him, he saw how depressed Yu became after his friends left; it was better he returned home.

♦ Puella Magi Madoka Magica

[OU] Mami Tomoe
Though they met the first day they arrived, and Shinju was willing to keep up a friendship with her, he wasn't entirely sure if she was interested, and they didn't met often. They didn't speak often enough for him to truly realize she left.

♦ Youko x Boku SS

[OU] Soushi Miketsukami
Thanks to their first meeting, Shinju appointed himself as Soushi's friend to make sure he took proper care of himself. The time they spent together made Shinju feel they were close, and his disappearance affected him more than the others who'd left.
